Dr Matthew Sng is a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Medical and Dental Group.
He graduated as valedictorian of his dental class from the National University of Singapore in 2011, receiving the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal.
Dr Sng began his career in Singapore’s public healthcare system. He served with the National Healthcare Group, where he was appointed Dental Officer-in-Charge of the Dental Service at Toa Payoh Polyclinic, before going on to practise at the National University Hospital and National Dental Centre. He also served with the School Dental Service. These roles gave him broad experience across general dentistry, oral surgery, the management of medically complex patients and the dental care of children.
He subsequently co-founded Advanced Dental, which has grown from a single practice into a network of 22 clinics across Singapore. As CEO of Advanced Medical and Dental Group, Dr Sng leads the group’s strategy, clinical development and continued growth while maintaining an active clinical practice. He has a particular interest in the use of technology, data and process improvement to improve the delivery and management of healthcare.
His clinical interests include oral surgery, surgical extractions and dental implants.
Alongside his clinical and leadership roles, Dr Sng has contributed actively to dental education and the wider profession. He has served as a Clinical Tutor at the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore.
Dr Sng has served on the Executive Committee of the College of General Dental Practitioners Singapore since 2013, including several terms as Honorary Secretary. He has also served as a member of the Ministry of Health’s Dental Fee Benchmark Advisory Committee, contributing to the development of fee benchmarks for dental services in Singapore.
Dr Sng has also participated in charitable dental missions in Singapore and overseas, providing dental care to underserved communities.
