Family dentistry is everyday dental care for the whole household at one clinic — from a child's first visit through to care for older adults. Seeing the same practice over time keeps your family's dental history in one place, so problems are picked up early.

What it covers

  • Check-ups and cleaning — examination, scaling and polishing, usually every six months
  • Preventive care — fluoride, fissure sealants for children, and advice on brushing and diet
  • Fillings and extractions for decayed or damaged teeth
  • X-rays when something cannot be seen on examination
  • Referral within the group to a specialist (for example for braces, gum treatment or oral surgery) when needed

Who it's for

All ages. Children can start visiting around the time their first teeth appear; appointments are kept short and unhurried for younger children. Older adults are cared for around any medical conditions and medications.

Subsidies

Routine treatments are CHAS-accredited, so CHAS, Merdeka Generation and Pioneer Generation cardholders can claim a subsidy where eligible. MediSave applies to certain surgical procedures.

Book a family appointment online, by phone, or on WhatsApp, and ask for a clinic near you.

Who it's for

Households who want check-ups, cleaning, fillings, extractions and preventive care for every age at one clinic — from young children to older adults. Care is tailored to each family member's needs.

FAQ

Family Dentistry: frequently asked questions

How often should my family go for dental check-ups?

A check-up and cleaning every 6 to 12 months suits most people. Your dentist may suggest a different interval based on each family member's oral health and risk of tooth decay or gum disease.

What is family dentistry?

Family dentistry covers routine dental care for patients of all ages — from a child's first visit to dental care for seniors — at the same clinic. It includes check-ups, scaling and polishing, fillings, extractions, and advice on preventing tooth decay and gum disease.

Can I book appointments for several family members together?

Where the schedule allows, family members can be seen on the same day at the same clinic. Contact our team or book online, and we will help arrange appointments that fit around each other.

Can children and adults be treated at the same clinic?

Yes. Our clinics provide general dental care for both adults and children. More specialised treatments, such as orthodontics or oral surgery, are offered at selected clinics — our team can direct you to the nearest one.
