Patients aged 60 and above can use Flexi-MediSave to pay for their crown and root canal treatments
Worried about the cost of a crown or root canal? If you're aged 60 or above, you can now use up to $400 per year from your MediSave (or your spouse's) to help pay for these treatments at our clinic.
Quick facts
- Who: Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 60 and above
- How much: Up to $400 per year from MediSave (Flexi-MediSave)
- What's covered: Permanent crowns (up to 4/year) and root canal treatment on permanent teeth (up to 2/year)
- Spouse's MediSave: Also usable, provided your spouse is also 60 or above
Why it matters
Crowns and root canal treatment save damaged teeth — but the cost can put patients off. The MOH's extension of Flexi-MediSave to these procedures means more Singaporeans can get the restorative care they need without dipping deep into cash savings. Combined with CHAS subsidies (if you hold a CHAS Blue, Orange, Pioneer Generation, or Merdeka Generation card), the out-of-pocket cost can be reduced further.
How it works at our clinic
We are an accredited CHAS dental clinic and our dentists are MediSave-accredited. At your appointment, just let us know you'd like to claim Flexi-MediSave, sign a simple authorisation form, and we'll handle the claim submission after your treatment is complete.
Use of Flexi-MediSave is subject to MOH eligibility criteria and scheme rules. The annual $400 cap is shared across all Flexi-MediSave-eligible outpatient treatments per patient per year.
Official sources: CHAS for dental subsidies, and the CPF Board for MediSave and Flexi-MediSave rules. Scheme details are set by MOH and CPF and may change — please check with our team before your visit.
