Dentures come in a few forms, and the right one depends on how many teeth are missing and the health of your gums and jawbone.

  • Full (complete) dentures replace all the teeth in an arch and rest on the gums. They suit people who have lost all their upper or lower teeth.
  • Partial dentures replace several missing teeth and clip onto the remaining natural teeth, filling the gaps.
  • Implant-supported dentures (overdentures) snap onto a small number of implants for added stability, which can help a denture that would otherwise feel loose.

Dentures are made from acrylic or with a metal framework. A consultation and an assessment of your gums and bone help decide which type fits your situation and budget.
